About
Compliance should be continuous, not a scramble.
Every regulated service faces the same problem. The law prescribes a set of policies, the policies must keep up with a moving body of regulation, and day-to-day procedures must actually implement them. Today that web of “what satisfies what” is held together by hand, in Word, Excel and email, usually by one person who has a full-time job doing something else.
So compliance becomes episodic: a panic before each audit, then silence while things quietly drift. Cordance exists to replace that cycle with a system that reads your documents against the regulation, obligation by obligation, and keeps reading as both sides change.
What we believe
You stay accountable
Cordance is decision support, not certification. The tool flags and recommends; the Approved Provider decides. Every confirmation you make is recorded, so the way you run the tool becomes your audit trail.
Everything traces to the source
Every finding cites the regulation it comes from, and every grade is anchored to the law, the National Quality Standard and official guidance. If you cannot check our work, you should not trust it.
Built to keep watch
Compliance decays. The regulation moves, documents get edited, practice drifts from paper. A point-in-time audit answers yesterday's question, so the product is the watching, not the report.
Where we start
Our first industry is NSW early childhood education and care: the National Law, the National Regulations, the National Quality Standard and ACECQA guidance, with regulation 168’s eighteen required policy areas as the backbone. It is a demanding, well-defined regulatory scheme, which makes it the right place to prove the engine.
The engine itself is industry agnostic. Regulation is loaded as data, never hard-coded, so aged care, NDIS and financial services frameworks follow the same path onto the platform. Whichever industry you operate in, the questions are the same: what does the law require, do your documents deliver it, and how would you know if that stopped being true.
Who we are
Cordance is built in Sydney by a founder with a background in law and financial risk management, working alongside NSW early childhood operators. We offer the platform self-service, and a consultant-led service for providers who want the assessment run with them and best practice embedded across their centres.
